Our cold air intake for the Frontier 3.8L was engineered to minimize air restriction and flow 47.65% better than stock. This kit comes with an additional front scoop, a massive side inlet, and an intake tube that connects all the way to the throttle body. Click the play button to hear the sound!
NEW AIR INLETS.
Through a combination of significantly enlarging the side inlet and incorporating a completely new front scoop, we have achieved a remarkable 47.46% improvement in intake airflow compared to the stock configuration.
The inlet at the filter leads to unrestricted airflow all the way to the throttle body through our high-flow intake tube.
Our new snap-In lid design requires no screws to secure it to the box. This makes installation and inspection quick and easy. Our silicone edge trim provides a protective seal against unwanted, power-robbing engine heat and debris.
S&B moved the auto start/stop fuse box from the side of the box to the included front bracket, so we can fit a massive side inlet.
THE BEST ON THE MARKETThe S&B intake flows 9.4% better than Z1 Offroad, is 99.11% efficient and held 324.7 grams of dust
The Z1 Offroad intake was 93.44% efficient and held only 32.2 grams of dust.
You can see the filter size difference, additional air inlet S&B offers and overall airbox size comparison. S&B has been making filters for 50 years and it shows that Z1 did not do research or testing on their filter media.
